Sachin Katti New Intel CTO; Apple's China Smartphone Sales Drop 9%
In his first major move, Intel's new CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, is restructuring the company's leadership team to make it more efficient and focused on innovation. Tan has promoted Indian Origin Networking chip chief Sachin Katti to the position of Chief Technology Officer and artificial intelligence chief. With 9.8 million phone sales, Apple's smartphone shipments in China have dropped 9% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year.
