Sales of ULIPs take a hit following IRDA order

Unit linked insurance plans or ULIPs were the bread and butter for life insurance companies till two months ago. But ever since insurance regulator IRDA tightened regulations governing the product from September 2010, sales of ULIPs have fallen sharply.
