Saluting the Hero: Colonel Santosh Mahadik
For years, he had trained to lead from the front, to put himself in the way of harm to protect the men he commanded and to defend all of us from terrorists. For this, Colonel Santosh Mahadik paid with his life. Today, the Army honoured the officer, the second Commanding Officer this year alone to be killed in direct clashes with terrorists in Kashmir.
