SC clears Sterlite, Posco projects
It's a day of double bonanza for the state of Orissa. The Supreme Court has passed orders in favour of Korean steel giant Posco and Anil Agarwal's Vedanta Alumina which have the capacity of flushing in $19 billion of investments in the state of Orissa. Kalahandi district in Orissa will soon be home to one of the most integrated aluminium plants, as Vedanta has now finally received the go-ahead for mining the key raw material for the 'white metal'.
