Scientists to replace milk gene with drugs
The Hyderabad-based Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology has identified a lactating gene in mammals that can be replaced with another to produce drugs. In what is seen as a fantastic discovery the institute has identified "kappa casein" gene, which is responsible for lactation in mammals from rats to humans.
