"Secularism A European Concept": Tamil Nadu Governor's Remark Sparks Row
Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi has sparked a row after his comments at a public function, where he claimed that a "fraud" has been committed against the people of India in the name of secularism, stating that it is a European concept and is not needed in India. During a public event in Kanyakumari on Sunday, the Governor claimed that many frauds have been committed against the people of this country, one of which is the "wrong interpretation of secularism."
