Seemandhra and Telangana: Tale of Two States
The tale of the two new states of Telangana and a truncated Andhra Pradesh was a picture of contrasts. The winners, the TRS in Telangana, and the TDP, both in Andhra Pradesh and in Telangana, outperformed expectations. In contrast, the YSR Congress, is deeply disappointed, and arguably worried about the political future, considering the criminal cases faced by Jagan Mohan Reddy. Whereas the Congress was wiped out in Seemandhra and came a poor third in Telangana.
