Sensex hits 10000 mark
It was a momentous day for the Indian stock markets. The Sensex crossed the 10000 levels towards the fag end of the trading session. It ended the day at 9983 levels, a gain of 2.5 per cent or 240 points since the previous close. In the broader markets, the Nifty, firmed up over 2 per cent or 60 points to close at 3001 levels.
