Sensex hits all time high of 19K
Sensex hit an all time of 19,000 levels on Monday with the benchmark index adding over 639 points or 3.4 per cent to close at 19,058 levels. The sensitive index moved in a range of 18,525-19,095 levels. It took four trading sessions for the 30-share index to gain last one thousand points. The 1,000-point rally from 18,000 to 19,000 levels comes within days of Finance Minister P Chidambaram expressing surprise over the surge in equity markets.
