Amid another day of mayhem in domestic markets, the S&P BSE Sensex index recovered 3,960.86 points to briefly turn positive and touch 33,349.83, after nosediving to as low as 29,388.97, as trading resumed following a 45-minute halt. The broader NSE Nifty 50 benchmark recovered as much as 1,194.8 points to as high as 9,749.95, in a dramatic rebound from a crash to 8,555.15 in a highly volatile session. On Friday morning, trading in the Indian markets was halted for 45 minutes as a 10 per cent fall in benchmark indices triggered a lower circuit.
