Senior Congress leader and advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, told NDTV on Rahul Gandhi's two-year-sentence in the "Modi surname" defamation case: "We are very confident of our case ... Sentence is not an issue at all, but it's a very serious civil and legal consequence if an elected representative is debarred and disqualified from the house, he loses his seat and cannot raise his voice in Parliament. Do not think we are in any manner underestimating the seriousness of this completely erroneous disqualification."
