The Dagduseth Halwai Ganpati Temple, Pune's biggest and most well known Ganesh Temple, runs a home for the elderly.Pitashri was built almost 20 years ago and recently expanded at a cost of Rs 1 crore.The shelter also houses over 600 children of commercial sex workers from the nearby Budhwar Peth red-light area.
