The Karnataka High Court has rejected the petition of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar seeking the dismissal of the disproportionate assets case filed against him. The court, in the meanwhile, ordered the CBI to complete the investigation of this matter within 3 months and file the final report. Despite coming close to the Chief Minister's chair, it was because of this allegation of corruption that DK Shivakumar could not ascend the CM's throne. While this may be disappointing for DK Shivakumar, the completion of this investigation in three months may pave the way for steering his political ambitions forward if the report ends up in his favour.
