Record rain has wreaked an absolute havoc in Himachal Pradesh. Over 60 people have died in the state over the last three days and rescue efforts are underway on war footing, with people being airlifted from rooftops. Shimla has reported multiple landslides that have taken down entire several homes on the hills. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu, who surveyed Kangra today, said the state has suffered a loss of over Rs 10,000 crore and it will take a year to rebuild.
