As stubble burning continues in neighbouring areas of Delhi, a thick blanket of haze has covered parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) leading to low visibility on the city roads on Friday evening. Several areas in Delhi continue to witness hazardous levels of Air Quality Index as the national capital battles a rapid spread of coronavirus along with air pollution. Meanwhile, the Delhi government, after facing severe criticism, has swung into action with the government announcing a slew of measures including banning firecrackers. A standing committee of parliament has also called for a meeting at 11:00 am on pollution crisis.
