Prime Minister Narendra Modi's packed two-day France visit was filled with several rare honours, the foreign minister said today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a red-carpet welcome as he arrived in Paris on Thursday. In a special gesture, French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne received him at the airport. He was given a guard of honour at the airport and the national anthem of both countries were played. PM Modi was also conferred with the highest honour of France, the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, by French President Emmanuel Macron. He was also the guest of honour during France's Bastille Day celebrations today.
