Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar - whose party witnessed desertions from at least three senior leaders this week alone - today accused Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the crisis. Mr Fadnavis, the NCP chief said, was misusing state-run financial bodies to force opposition leaders to join their fold ahead of the assembly elections scheduled for later this year. He also accused the central government of misusing probe agencies to pressurise those leaders who are not willing to join the BJP.
