Shashi Tharoor Reacts To BJP's PoK Promise: "Chunaavi Jumla…"

Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Thiruvananthapuram constituency Shashi Tharoor on May 24 reacted to Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on PoK and Swati Maliwal's alleged assault case. The Congress leader targeted the BJP by calling their statements 'chunaavi jumla' and questioned what they have done in the last 10 years. Speaking to the media, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said, "What have they done in 10 years? They were sitting in Delhi. All of these are just 'chunaavi jumla'. During the election, they will say anything and then they will forget. This has been our experience with BJP for the last 10 years." On Swati Maliwal's assault case, he said, "I will not comment on something that is before the court. Whatever happened with her should be enquired and justice should be served. These issues are being raised to divert from the real issues..."
