Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, condoling the death of BJP stalwart, said she lived up to the expectations of "the ideal woman". "Her political career rose during the Emergency and after that she contributed immensely to the BJP. She guided me in my early days in the BJP like my elder sister. Her death is the party's and the country's loss," said Mr Gadkari.
