Shillong Chamber Choir's Tribute To Founder Neil Nongkynrih

The North East Zone Cultural Centre organised a memorial for Neil Nongkynrih, musician, composer and founder of the internationally reputed Shillong Chamber Choir, who died in January 2022. The tribute included speeches from friends and family of Neil Nongkynrih and a performance by the Shillong Chamber Choir. The choir, which is carrying on the legacy of Neil Nongkynrih, spoke to NDTV and performed one of their Khasi compositions, giving a glimpse into the musical talent of Meghalaya and its capital Shillong.
