Shirking rural internships to get costly
From the next academic year, medical students in Maharashtra who will want to opt out of the mandatory one year rural internship will have to pay a fine of Rs 10 lakh. This is another blow to the medical students here, first was the drastic reduction of post-graduate medical seats.
