Senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that the Shiv Sena, which is in an alliance with the ruling BJP in Maharashtra, was its "biggest critic for four-and-a-half out of five years". "The Shiv Sena was ahead of every opposition party in viciously criticising the government," Mr Singhvi told NDTV, terming its alliance with the BJP as "a marriage of convenience".
