Should the killers of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi be released from jail? It's a complicated case, one that has gone from the governor to the centre to the courts. The Tamil Nadu government has written to the governor recommending that the convicts be freed. Rajiv Gandhi's killers have been in jail for 27 years. Along the way, there was forgiveness from Rahul, Priyanka and Sonia Gandhi who said they had no objection to the killers being released. But ironically, their party, the Congress today made it clear that they officially object to the release of the killers.
