Bengaluru: Not Ready For The Rain?
A night of heavy rain in Bengaluru this week once again saw low-lying areas flooded and roads under water. Last year, after massive flooding, the authorities had gone on demolition drives to clear encroachments from lake beds and stormwater drains and revamp the drain system. So what happened? Wasn't one year enough to get the work done? Authorities say they need more time - while critics say it is will and planning that is missing.
