The average vaccination in the last 7 days has been 6.5 million per day and the daily shortfall reported over the same period has been 6.8 million per day. Yesterday, 2.3 million doses were administered and there was a shortfall of 11 million doses. Essentially, the required vaccination rate is 13.3 million doses a day, so while India has administered the first dose for 70 per cent of its adult population, there is still a long way to go.
