Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the United Nations during his US trip said India has developed the world's first DNA vaccine that can be given to everyone above12 years of age. He also gave an open invite to manufacturers across the world: "Come, make vaccine in India. Zydus Cadila's three-dose COVID-19 DNA vaccine was cleared by the drug regulator DCGA last month. ZyCoV-D is the world's first plasmid DNA vaccine against the coronavirus and according to reports the Govt expert group may recommend inclusion of ZyCoV-D in India vaccination drive next week
