Senior journalist Karan Thapar, known for his incisive interviews, tells Shekhar Gupta on Off The Cuff how he feels TV debates today are a waste of time. Television anchors don't do their homework and are not celebrities, he says. Also, he says, the BJP government at the centre is far more conscious of critical opinion and tries hard to ensure they are not easily aired.
