In the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat of Andhra Pradesh, Y S Sharmila of the Congress is taking on her cousin, two time sitting MP, Avinash Reddy of her elder brother Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress Party. The battle in Kadapa is not just a sibling rivalry, but it is also being fought against the backdrop of the murder of former MP Vivekananda Reddy in 2019. Incidentally, Avinash Reddy was arrested by the CBI for having a role in the murder of the former MP. Polling for the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh will take place in a single phase on May 13.
