Situation still polarized in Kandhmal
The Orissa government has assured the Supreme Court that the situation in Kandhmal is normal. But on the ground, the situation is polarized. A huge number of tribal Hindu women are demanding that their men, many of whom were arrested for rioting, be released. On the other hand, the Christian riot victims, now in relief camps continue to feel insecure about returning to their villages.
