Skiing Courses Organised For Girl Students In Gulmarg

A 10-day-long basic and intermediate skiing courses was organised for girl students of Srinagar at the famous tourist resort Gulmarg in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir. It was organised by the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports. The aim of the training was to engage girls in productive activities. About 45 girl students from various government schools took part in the training course. They were getting training from the experts and ski instructors. The Department is also providing all equipment like skiing and gear free of cost so that these girls gain maximum opportunity and enhance their skiing skills. Girls are also showing great enthusiasm towards this training to become a part of the rescue operation team during a disaster in Kashmir. These courses are conducted every year under the supervision of the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports for aspiring girls.
