Smart Cities: A Dream Too Big?

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his Budget speech provided a sum of Rs. 7 billion for developing '100 Smart Cities', as satellite towns of larger cities and by modernizing the existing mid-sized cities. The reality - the urban development ministry is still caught up in preparing the concept note for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 100 smart cities vision.
