Smriti Irani's "15 Years Gareebi" Swipe At Rahul Gandhi's "Khata Khat" Remark In Amethi

BJP's Smriti Irani on Monday took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi over Amethi, who had held the constituency for 15 years. Congress has not yet declared its candidate for the seat, however, local party workers are rooting for Rahul Gandhi to contest again. Addressing a public meeting in Amethi, Ms Irani said, "Despite serving as an MP for 15 years, including 10 years during the UPA government at the Centre and an alliance with SP in UP, essential amenities like drinking water remained elusive for the residents of Amethi."
