Snake-Like Robot Will Search For Life On Other Planets
NASA has designed a futuristic snake-like robot that can autonomously explore hitherto hidden areas on the moon and Mars. It is called JPL's EELS (Exobiology Extant Life Surveyor). The concept emerges from the shape and working of a python snake. It was designed by an engineer of Indian origin, Rohan Thakker, who did his B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur. NDTV's Science Editor Pallava Bagla brings this exclusive story from California.
