In what is seen as a major milestone in providing better air connectivity to India's north-east, an initiative to link remote towns of Arunachal Pradesh has taken wings with the launch of a new air service linking Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh and Dibrugarh in Assam. That too, in the first ever made-in-India Dornier civilian aircraft made by HAL. On top of this, the north-east also got today its first pilot training academy.
