Social Workers, Artists, Actors Among 2024 Padma Awardees
Dignitaries from different realms were conferred Padma awards by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi. The Padma Award is one of the highest civilian awards in the country. The awards were conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri which are given in various disciplines and fields of activities like art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature, and education, sports, civil service.
