UK To Probe TikTok | SoftBank is reportedly in talks to borrow $16 billion to boost its investments in artificial intelligence. According to tech site The Information, SoftBank may borrow an additional $8 billion in early 2026. The Japanese giant has already committed $15 billion to the AI project Stargate...a venture backed by OpenAI and Oracle. In another development, The UK’s privacy watchdog has launched an investigation into TikTok, Reddit, and Imgur over how they handle children’s personal data. The probe will focus on how these platforms use algorithms to target young users, and how they check the age of child users.
