The government on Friday announced assured income support for farmers with small landholdings through a scheme that will cost Rs 75,000 crore per year. However, former finance minister Yashwant Sinha called the 75,000 crore rupees annual calculation an under-calculation. "The government has underfunded here. Now, it totally depends on the new government that comes into office after elections. They may improve and do something on fiscal side so that the gap is filled,"
