Director Jude Anthany Joseph tells NDTV about the film's journey to screen. 2018 is based on the devastation caused by the Kerala floods in the year of the title – Jude Anthany Joseph had to abandon his home in the floods and was compelled to tell the story, even though he was advised to give it up as impractical.
