Sri Lanka backs Sethu project
The Sri Lankan navy chief Vasant Karana Gawda has said the Sethusamudram project will lead to better monitoring on both the Sri Lankan and Indian sides, and ensure better security. His remarks completely contradict the position of the Indian coastguard, which has said the project could be a security risk.
