"Embarrassed To Be Begging Bowl": NDTV Reports From Crisis-Hit Sri Lanka
Protesters with over 20 organisations stormed the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, accusing the government of siphoning public funds. Demanding the resignation the central bank chief, the protesters said the Central Bank of Sri Lanka was not a autonomous body and that it was being run by the Rajapaksha family, who has corruption allegations against them. Individuals representing Sinhala organisations, Protect Sri Lanka Organisation, Foundation for Freedom and Justice Society of Sri Lanka participated in the protest.
