Protesters in Sri Lanka have demanded President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who has fled the island nation, and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to resign immediately as they breached the Prime Minister's office today. "The President promised to resign. But he did not. So people are angry and frustrated," a protester told NDTV. "The government of Sri Lanka did very dangerous things, so people are coming here to punish them and take back power," another protester said. "I think it is good for Sri Lanka. Revolution is good for us," a man taking part in the protest said. Mr Wickremesinghe has asked the Speaker of parliament to nominate a new Prime Minister.
