On today's episode of India Global, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held the first bilateral meet with newly elected Sri Lankan President Dissanayake at Hyderabad House in Delhi. India and Sri Lanka signed four key agreements, including ramping up energy ties by establishing electricity grid connectivity and multi-product petroleum pipeline in a collaboration with UAE. Most importantly, President Dissanayake gave India a key security assurance that Sri Lanka's territory will not be used for any activity that is detrimental to India, signaling that Colombo will not let China dock its vessels.
