Srinagar MP Faces Alleged Land Scam Charges, Says Case "Politically Motivated"
The anti-corruption bureau in Jammu and Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against Srinagar MP Aga Ruhullah and his relatives for allegedly scamming land records and withdrawing payment from the government 10 times more than the actual compensation of land they owned. Several revenue officials have been chargesheeted for tampering with land records to benefit the Aga family. Aga Ruhullah has termed the chargesheet politically motivated to silence him for taking a stand against scrapping Article 370 of the Constitution.
