Staggered increase in diesel prices to continue: Montek Singh Ahluwalia
Diesel prices will continue to be adjusted upwards at the pace of 45-50 paise/month, says Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia. He says that he expects diesel subsidies to be completely removed over an 18-month period. Dr Ahluwalia also dismisses the criticism that the partial deregulation of diesel prices will add to inflationary pressures.
