States are facing a massive shortage of vaccines, bringing the vaccination drive to a halt for those between 18 to 44 years of age. At least 10 state governments are floating global tenders to acquire the requisite stock of vaccines. Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha have also issued global tenders for procuring vaccines as quickly as possible.
