States Lowering Cost Of Coronavirus Tests, Private Labs Unhappy
State governments are continuously reducing how much private labs can charge for the RT-PCR test, which is the more reliable test for COVID-19. This means the labs are making losses per test. Off the record, some smaller labs have told they will cut down on these tests as it's not feasible to continue making losses. The Association of Practising Pathologists in Haryana has even written to the government regarding this.
