STEP: New software to digitise manuscripts
The fragile Palm leaves inscribed with knowledge thousands of years ago. These mysterious texts will soon be decoded by a click of a mouse. That's correct, scientists at the National science academy in Coimbatore have developed STEP - the software that photographs these ancient manuscripts and magnifies the words that have now become invisible to naked eye on the computer screen.
