Sterlite to buy Asarco for $1.7 bn in cash, notes
Sterlite Industries, India's largest non-ferrous metals and mining company, on Saturday said it has entered into an agreement with US copper producer Asarco for $1.1 billion in cash and promissory note worth $600 million.
