Stigma continues for freed prisoners
After seven deaths at Tihar, the Delhi High Court has ordered that nearly 600 prisoners, who face minor charges, be sent home.The idea was to help ease the pressure on a jail that is bursting at the seams.Among those released is nineteen-year-old Suraj who chooses to not step out of his home. ''People in the locality stay away from me. They ask their children not to be friends with me,'' said Suraj.
