A stand-off between farmers and the centre on the borders of India's capital over the new farm laws has been on for seven days. While the government says it's trying to help small and marginal farmers by freeing them of the "mandi" system of selling their crop , protesting farmer organisations say it's only a way to hand over agriculture on a platter to big corporates .
